1) Never seen it
2) Do not understand it.

This is a female driven film about a young woman’s awakening, understanding her own mind, becoming an adult, learning the meaning of responsibility, and letting go of her self-centered fantasies that were holding her back from experiencing reality. Those who hate Jareth (again) have no clue who Jareth is or what he stands for within Sarah’s fantasy world.
Everyone had a Jareth when they were at that age of sexual awakening. Justin Timberlake? Brittany Spears? Will Smith? Gerard Butler as the Phantom? Nala from the Lion King? (Ok, maybe that one is a little weird), but the point is: Jareth was Sarah’s Justin Timberlake. She wasn’t gonna run off and fuck a dude way older than her. You are missing the point, Jimbob. Get off your Tumblr high-horse for three fucking seconds and breathe in a classic 80s work of art.
RIP David Bowie, you were the Lady GaGa of every 1980 teen’s daydreams.
